Announcement of the "Transition Plan toward the Realization of a Carbon-neutral Society"
Jun 06, 2025
Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. (the "Company") has identified six material issues, including the promotion of a decarbonized society, as key challenges to be addressed in order to achieve the sustainable development of the Company Group. Since then, the Company Group has undertaken various initiatives aimed at realizing a carbon-neutral society by 2050.
To further enhance the effectiveness of these efforts, the Company has formulated the "Transition Plan toward the Realization of a Carbon-neutral Society" (the "Plan").
The Plan outlines specific initiatives to promote a decarbonized society through our business activities, as well as efforts to shift toward sustainable and resilient assets--one of the key priorities in our value creation process. It has been developed in accordance with various guidelines, including the TPT Disclosure Framework*.
The Company aims to achieve carbon neutrality (net-zero) by 2050 for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its own business activities (Scope 1 and 2), as well as GHG emissions primarily resulting from the use of leased assets by customers (Scope 3).
The Plan has also received a third-party opinion from DNV Business Assurance Japan K.K.
